Assuming that you have 320 L of ethanol extract that contains 10% of cannabis oil, that means that 32 L of cannabis oil are dissolved in 288 L of ethanol. With the Hei-VAP HBX Pro 24/7 Package + Full Service you get an evaporation performance of 12 L/H. That means to distill off the 288 L of ethanol it will take one day (24 H) of continous distillation.
What about the manual evaporator? The distillation performance will be significantly lower because you have to add the handling times of the flasks (one batch can be a maximum of 10 litres), drainage of the collecting vessels, heat up times, less process continuity because of different fill levels, etc.
TIP: If you work with the manual evaporator, use the replenishment valve to refill your flask under vacuum without the need to take it off. This can also be helpful to work with larger batches than 10 litres.
